img882Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Lee Huddleston Baird Watkins will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 22, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Tramel officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Thursday 2-7 PM and Friday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Watkins, age 89 of Smith County, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

Born September 6, 1926, in Smith County, she is the daughter of the late Millard and Georgia Vaden Huddleston.  She was a homemaker and a member of Adams Avenue Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferriss Edward Watkins; daughter, Linda Lee Belcher; grandson, Andrew Allen Smith; sister, Mary Moss Huddleston Preston; three brothers, Frank, Tom and Ernest Huddleston; niece, Mary Etta Pittman and nephews, Odis and James K. Preston.

She is survived by her children: Thomas (Susan Wilkins) Baird, Jeannie (Andy) Smith, and Mary Anne (Danny) Gannon; grandchildren, James (Kim) Belcher, Ferris Belcher, Jason Baird, Thomas Baird, Scott (Lynn) Smith, Steven (Julie) Smith, Tina (Tim) Dedman, Rachel (Darrell) Young, and Daniel Gannon; Great grandchildren:  Derek & Karlin Belcher, Shelby Belcher, Kayla, Tyler & Caden Baird, Ashley Cunningham, Linsey & Mason Baird, Jake Smith, Emily & Owen Smith, Chance Dedman and Christopher Young; great great grandchildren: Eden & Eilem Smith and Jackson Belcher.  Nieces and nephews: Jeanne Williams, Danny & Kenny Preston, Suzanne Judkins, Donnell Preston, Melinda Huddleston, Patty Preston, Harold Pittman Jr., David Pittman, Tommy Pittman, Randy Pittman, Tammy Tidwell, and Julie Thomas.  Also, special friends and caring neighbors.
